Lewmar boat picks up 3rd in class at chocolate cuckoo clock race

The Lewmar boat that Allan has been sailing on was over in Geneva recently for the Bol d'Or, a race around Lac Leman. Called the OUT95, this jumped-up International Moth has been weirding out sailors on the Solent since last Summer, and the crew - of whom Robbie and Allan are occasional members - have figured out how to get the boat to sail - not an easy task bearing in mind it's as thin as a thin thing and has a pretty chunky rig.

Yummy 6 Metre goodness

A pretty good turnout for the Royal Southern YC's 6 Metre regatta - and plenty of shiny boats to look at while I waited for everyone to turn up on Sunday.

That's a helluva lot of teak, let alone the rest of it.

Cream got second...

very fast man on Holmbury and Pitch

It's not very often that someone captures excalty how fast and smooth good hardtail riding can be.
This bloke is both very, very smooth and very, very fast. Video is of stuff on Holmbury, with a little Pitch thrown in too. Impresssive.

Two J80s at 4.30am

Jolly big cruise liner piling into Southampton Water at about 20kts. Not something to get in the way of.

Running somewhere in the Solent on the way back. Absolutely boiling.

Drifting somewhere.

Journos

For some reason, 4am starts are now becoming fixtures. This was for a press conference in the Netherlands. Straight after, we all decamped to a beach near Schiphol on a boiling hot day.

Photographer being photographed back.

Warmer and sunnier than it looks here.

Yes, that's real horseshit

just 'round the corner from my office, by Masala Zone. Quite dry stuff, so I'm guessing it came from a garden centre, rather than directly from the horse's arse... Posted by Picasa

Cheese free fondue

Cheese not pictured. Grimace not model's own. James and Raluca brought back lots of meat and cheese from their trip to the 24 hour race in Italy the other day. Posted by Picasa
